In 2025, Exit The Path Towards Hypocrisy!

In 2025, Exit The Path Towards Hypocrisy!

We have all heard and even agreed with the talks describing what should be when facing challenges. However, for some, they agree on what things should be. Unfortunately, their actions define them as hypocrites.

Consider these examples and plan to make 2025 the year to defeat the comfortable lure of appeasement.

We agree it takes hard work to become successful, but we accept meaningless gratuitous accolades as rewards for basic work.

We agree with the importance of truth but find more comfort in ignoring what we know is true.

We agree that our business must be disruptive, but we can’t disrupt ourselves.

We agree we must be willing to get uncomfortable, but we surround ourselves with what’s comfortable.

We agree with the warnings and dangers of the charlatans but welcome them to cure our insecurities.

We agree that conflict is necessary in overcoming dysfunction but, avoid needed conflict through delusional passiveness.

We agree on the need to diversify from our core competencies but fall back to what we know.
.
So, my friends avoid distractions when your commonsense is demanding attention. Don’t fall into those insecurity traps on your 2025 path toward continuous relevance.

Remember, Insecurity will cause one to double down on comfort; and overcoming insecurities is uncomfortable.

In this new year - avoid the temptation to lead yourself or others based on a happiness compass. Those who do will be defined not as leaders but followers of comfort.

In closing, those looking forward to 2025’s path toward continuous relevance must understand that the journey only starts when you’re comfortable being uncomfortable. So, don’t waste too much of the year waiting to get uncomfortable.

I believe both Ricoh and Konica Minolta are too weak to be serious contenders. They both seem to be in a perpetual state of on-the-job training. If one listens to their leaders within their industrial business units, one can only recognize hope as the foundation of their business strategy, and we all know that hope doesn't pay the bills!

Now is the time for all Konica Minolta Dealers to consider their future. Dealers with multiple OEM lines, in addition to the Konica Minolta line, maybe should consider eliminating the Konica Minolta line altogether. A dealer could have great leveraging power with their other OEMs if they chose one to replace their Konica Minolta MIF.
