Today I fear the industry's procrastination and passive approach to disruptions will cause the same hardships as when the industry ignored my A4 revolution started in 2018! Most of the industry sat in denial through 2018,19,20 - Then the pandemic caused an awakening. But still today in 2025 we have OEMs who still have very weak A4 strategies! As Katun celebrates its 1st anniversary in selling MFPs I ask Why? What's the strategy? From the numbers I see GPI the parent company to Katun produces less than $200 Million a year in total revenues and that includes Katun. What does Katun actually think they will accomplish? The marketplace needs consolidations not wannabe OEMs. Katun should also publish their financials in a readable format like all the others and accessible from their website. How can anyone take Katun serious in their aspiration to somehow become a major player in the MFP hardware space? In this episode I share my thinking.
